Role Overview
We are looking for a hybrid leader: a visionary who understands the future of finance, an expert in multi-country operations, and a mentor capable of elevating the standards of a pan-African team. This role involves defining and leading a 3-year transformation plan to align our financial organization, systems, and talent with the group’s massive growth ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & "Finance 2028" Roadmap: Define and lead a 3-year transformation plan to align the financial organization, systems, and talent with the group’s growth ambitions.
- Network Finance Oversight: Lead the finance operations of the school network, standardizing processes across all regions to ensure rigour and transparency.
- Industrialization & Shared Services: Design and launch a Finance Shared Service Center to centralize accounting operations, driving significant EBITDA gains and freeing up local school teams for business partnering.
- Tech-Stack & Business Efficiency: Act as the strategic lead for Finance systems, harmonizing the software ecosystem to ensure 100% digital workflows and data consistency between operations and accounting.
- Operational Control & Diagnostic: Implement automated consistency checks to move the group from manual verification to high-level supervision, identifying root-cause anomalies in real-time.
- Leadership & Team Transformation: Mentor a diverse, pan-African team, shifting their culture from a "data-entry" mindset to proactive "Business Partners" who influence school leadership.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Senior Financial Expertise: Deep experience in multi-country/multi-currency consolidation and financial reporting within complex, fast-paced environments.
- Inspirational & Assertive Leadership: Natural authority and emotional intelligence to manage diverse teams and build high-performing units through coaching.
- Tech Proficiency: Natural affinity for technology and the ability to architect a SaaS ecosystem to ensure seamless data flow from schools to the group P&L.
- Diagnostic Skills: A "sixth sense" for numbers with the ability to spot weak links in processes or financial statements and propose structural solutions.
- Operational Grit: The ability to shift from board-level strategy to "hands-on" field execution to ensure group-wide standards are executed locally.
- Education: BA/BSc/HND in Finance, Accounting, Audit, or a related field.
