Role Overview
First Assurance Kenya, a subsidiary of Absa Bank Limited, is seeking a Digital Product Management and IT Engineering Intern. This role is designed for recent graduates or final-year students to gain hands-on experience in digital transformation, product management, and IT engineering within the financial services sector. The successful candidate will support various digital initiatives, from process mapping to stakeholder engagement and project coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Process Documentation: Map As-Is and To-Be workflows for digital transformation and automation projects.
User Experience Support: Assist in stakeholder research, persona development, and customer journey mapping using human-centered design principles.
Product Backlog Management: Maintain sprint documentation, track deliverables, and provide status reports across active workstreams.
Stakeholder Communication: Prepare presentation decks, reports, and artifacts for steering committees and review sessions.
Market Intelligence: Conduct internal and market research to benchmark against industry best practices and inform product decisions.
Change Management: Support adoption tracking and coordinate post-go-live feedback for new digital solutions.
Project Support: Follow through on action items from project meetings and various stakeholder engagements.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, or related disciplines.
Academic Achievement: Must have attained at least a Second-class upper division honors.
Eligibility: Must have graduated within the last one year or be scheduled to complete studies on or before April 2026.
Certifications: Professional certifications in Agile, Artificial Intelligence, or Software Development are required.
Age: Candidates must be 25 years old or younger.
