Job Description
Talent Grid Africa, on behalf of their client in the retail industry, is seeking a Digital Marketing Manager. The role is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing strategic marketing plans to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth. This position requires a strategic and hands-on leader who can coordinate cross-functional teams, oversee multi-channel campaigns, and continuously optimize marketing performance through data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with business objectives.
Create and manage the marketing roadmap, prioritizing initiatives that drive competitive advantage.
Lead market research to assess trends, customer needs, and product viability.
Design and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
Ensure alignment of creative and content with brand strategy and business goals.
Define content strategy and oversee the editorial calendar.
Review and approve marketing content to ensure consistency in tone, messaging, and brand identity.
Maintain and manage social media platforms, ensuring relevant and engaging content.
Oversee digital marketing initiatives including SEO, social media, and email marketing.
Analyze digital performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance engagement and conversions.
Collaborate with internal teams (sales, product, customer support) to align marketing strategies.
Build and maintain relationships with media houses, vendors, and advertising agencies.
Develop and manage marketing budgets, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance and ROI to senior leadership.
Plan, manage, and execute marketing events and promotional activities.
Lead, mentor, and manage the marketing and creative teams.
Foster a high-performance culture through coaching and continuous development.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in Digital Marketing.
BA/BSc/HND in a relevant field.
Master’s Degree in Marketing or a related field (preferred).
CIM certification and valid MSK membership.
Experience in retail marketing and graphic design is an added advantage.
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
Budgeting and financial management skills.
Project management and organizational skills.
Creativity and innovation with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
