KPMG’s Deal Advisory practice is looking for a Development Finance Manager to deliver projects that support clients in designing and implementing innovative financing solutions that achieve impact. The role involves embedding fundamentals of corporate finance services—including due diligence, valuations, strategy, and financial modelling—into programmatic approaches. This position requires a professional with demonstrable experience in delivering sustainable finance-related projects that can achieve measurable impact.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Project Management: Manage small project teams for bespoke clients or assist in the management and delivery of larger complex projects.
Stakeholder Engagement: Support the identification of client and stakeholder needs, discuss solutions, and manage stakeholder communications.
Financial Analysis: Utilize commercial experience, sector expertise, and technology to undertake critical financial analysis of client forecasts and business plans.
Digital Innovation: Maintain an interest in the latest digital tools available within the firm to solve complex client problems.
Meeting Leadership: Lead and attend meetings with client directors, key business intermediaries, and other internal and external stakeholders.
Strategic Problem Solving: Oversee analysis to identify root causes of financial or operational issues and adopt a holistic perspective to develop strategic options.
Reporting: Produce high-quality reports and presentations for a range of clients and stakeholders.
Team Leadership: Create an inclusive environment that ensures diverse opinions are heard and team members can flourish.
Business Development: Participate in business development activities, networking events, and identify new opportunities for innovation and growth.
Professional Development: Foster a culture of continual development by investing in personal and team technical acumen and engaging in coaching conversations.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or any other relevant field.
Advanced Degree: A Master’s degree in Development Finance or a relevant field is an added advantage.
Experience: A minimum of 6–8 years of experience within the development finance or impact investing space.
