Information about the role
At TakaTaka Solutions, we collect your waste like every other waste collector, but instead of taking it to a landfill, we take it to our own sites, where we sort the waste and recycle 95% either ourselves or through our local partners. This represents one of the highest recycling rates in the world. We are looking for a Data Intern to join our team to ensure operational data integrity and support facility performance visualization.
Responsibilities and Duties
Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data entry into designated databases or information systems for each shift.
Regularly check for quality deviations of sorted products and communicate issues immediately to the team leader.
Fill scale checklists daily and follow up with the team lead and maintenance to ensure repairs are completed within timelines.
Update the daily visualization board to track and display Material Recovery Facility (MRF) performance.
Create a weekly Variance report comparing recyclables sorted against recyclables baled.
Retrieve specific data from database systems as requested and conduct rigorous data validation.
Follow up on spotted data inconsistencies to optimize accurate recording.
Implement corrective measures and validation procedures to improve data accuracy and reliability.
Support team leads in quality control at the conveyors and sorting lines.
Provide support to the management team on a wide range of data-handling and analysis requests.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
Degree in a relevant field such as Actuarial Science, Information and Data Management Systems, or Accounting.
At least 1-2 years of experience in data management and information systems.
Experience with data management software and tools (e.g., Google Sheets, ERP systems).
High attention to detail and ability to spot quality deviations.
Strong communication skills for reporting issues to team leaders.
