The Co-operative University of Kenya (CUK) is seeking to recruit qualified and motivated individuals as Data Collection Enumerators for a research project in Embu. The enumerators will play a critical role in conducting fieldwork, administering questionnaires, and gathering high-quality data.
Assignment Period
For successful applicants, enumerator training will be conducted in the second week of June 2026, and thereafter data collection will commence.
Key Responsibilities
Participate fully in the training sessions on research protocols, data collection tools, and methodologies.
Conduct field data collection within the designated study areas of Embu.
Administer survey questionnaires accurately using smartphones or tablets.
Ensure completeness, consistency, and accuracy of all collected data.
Address and resolve field-level issues or escalate them to supervisors.
Submit daily progress reports and synchronized data to the project coordinator.
Requirements
Applicants must:
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Cooperative Business, Community Development, Disaster Risk Management, Sustainable Development or related disciplines from The Co-operative University of Kenya.
Be resident of Embu County.
Possess either a smart phone or a tablet.
Be fluent in the dominant language spoken in the study area.
Be available for the entire training and data collection period.
Having served as an enumerator before will be an added advantage.
