SOS Children's Villages is an independent, non-governmental international development organization which has been working to meet the needs and protect the interests and rights of children since 1949. We are seeking a Data Analyst for our Global Data Hub to perform complex statistical analyses and support our member associations worldwide.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Perform statistical analyses (e.g. regression, clustering, forecasting, hypothesis testing) using tools such as Power BI, Python, or R with openness to large-language methods.
- Translate analytical objectives into clear data requirements and collaborate with data engineers to access suitable datasets.
- Develop analytical frameworks, KPIs, and indicators to evaluate organizational and program performance.
- Interpret and clearly communicate findings through reports, dashboards, and executive summaries.
- Ensure data quality, validation, and consistency in all analytical outputs.
- Advise on analytical use cases and data structures within the Global Data Hub.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to design advanced Power BI reports, including predictive and statistical elements.
- Collect, analyze, and document system and data requirements of English/French speaking Member Associations.
- Support and mentor colleagues in data literacy and interpretation of analytical results.
- Ensure compliance with data protection, security, and ethical data usage standards.
- Provide support and consulting to French- and English-speaking Member Associations to enable them to succeed in their data projects.

Requirements
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- 5–7+ years of experience in applied statistics or business analysis.
- Ability to analyze and understand business data requirements and translate them to technical requirements.
- Strong expertise in analytical tools and methods (Power BI, Python, R, Excel).
- Proven experience in statistical modeling, forecasting, and segmentation.
- Excellent data visualization and storytelling skills.
- Strong understanding of data quality, metadata, and governance concepts.
- Fluent in both English and French (C1/C2 proficiency).
- Ability to explain complex analytical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in non-profit contexts (impact measurement, donor reporting) is highly desired.
