Role Overview\n\nAs a Cook at Amentum, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals while ensuring strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards. You will work closely with the Executive Chef and the kitchen team to measure and assemble ingredients, manage inventory, and maintain a clean, organized workspace to ensure efficient dining operations.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n\n* Meal Preparation: Measure and assemble ingredients for various menu items according to established recipes.\n* Collaboration: Work alongside the Executive Chef and other kitchen staff to prepare meals during peak dining hours.\n* Maintain accurate food inventories and ensure that all items are stored at appropriate temperatures to prevent spoilage.\n* Follow established procedures for stock rotation (FIFO) to maintain freshness.\n* Restock the kitchen area at the end of each shift to ensure readiness for the next team.\n* Ensure that the food preparation area and the entire kitchen are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized by the end of your shift.\n\n### Requirements\n\n* High school diploma or GED required.\n* At least 2 years of experience as a Cook in the restaurant or hospitality industry.\n* Ability to read and accurately follow standardized recipes.\n* Strong knowledge of proper food handling, storage, and safety procedures.\n* Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, busy kitchen environment.\n* ServeSafe Certification is highly preferred.\n\n### How to Apply\n\nInterested and qualified candidates should apply online through the Amentum careers portal by visiting .
