Job Description
The United Nations Environment Programme (UN Environment) is the leading global environmental authority that sets the world's environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development within the United Nations system and serves as an authoritative advocate for the environment. The Content Developer will be responsible for creating, packaging, and optimizing digital learning content to support organizational objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Explore, recommend, and implement appropriate learning content packaging for digital media mapping with the content and learning activities.
Define learning objectives aligned with the primary objective of the learning module and appropriate to deliver the content.
Design learning activities for active participation and engagement of the learners and achieve high retention and application of skills and knowledge.
Collect feedback on the learning package and repackage the content to accommodate the input provided and improve the interactivity of the learning module.
Test and evaluate the compatibility of the learning resources with the hosting Learning Management System (LMS) and make the required adjustments for smooth accessibility.
Document all learning resources and ensure accessibility, facilitating knowledge-sharing sessions to share best practices and lessons learned in the implementation process.
Collaboratively work with the Learning Content Developer, the Working Group, L&D Team, Content Owners, and stakeholders to co-create and contribute to effectively implementing the learning module as planned.
Qualifications and Special Skills
Education: An advanced University Degree (Master's or equivalent) in Business Administration, Graphic Design, Website Design and Development, E-learning, Learning and Organisational Development, or a related field. A first-level University Degree (Bachelor's) with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in developing and implementing induction programs, preferably in similar industries or organizations, is required.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with e-learning platforms and technology-enabled training solutions is required.
Soft Skills: Proficiency in designing engaging and interactive training materials; strong knowledge of best practices in onboarding and adult learning principles; strong project management and organizational skills are desirable.
