Role Overview
Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) is a National body responsible for carrying out health research in Kenya. We are seeking to recruit three (3) Community Interviewers to support clinical study activities. The successful candidates will be responsible for bridging the gap between the study team and the local community, ensuring effective participant recruitment and retention.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the clinic team to identify and recruit eligible persons for study participation.
Identify and support activities aimed at maintaining high retention rates among study participants.
Conduct outreach activities to engage and enroll eligible participants.
Attend and participate in trainings, team/staff meetings, and other scheduled events.
Proactively bring any problems or challenges observed during study activities to the attention of the study leadership.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the study coordinator or principal investigator.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a minimum grade of C- (Minus) or its equivalent (Mandatory).
Certifications: Certificate in computer packages (Mandatory).
Experience: Previous experience in community-based research is Mandatory.
Additional Experience: Experience working in a research or hospital setting will be an added advantage.
Location Requirement: Willingness to live and work in the specific study area (Mandatory).
Skills: Strong Planning and Organization Skills (Mandatory).
