The Public Service Commission of Kenya is seeking to recruit six (6) Co-operative Auditors. This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer, focusing on the financial verification and auditing of co-operative societies.
Duties and Responsibilities
Checking arithmetic accuracy of societies' financial statements, figures, and supporting schedules.
Compiling data on periodic financial returns, estimates of income and expenditure, assets, and liabilities.
Receiving and recording applications for the registration of auditors.
Collecting and collating data on societies' financial statements, income expenditure, assets, and liabilities.
Updating audited accounts movement registers to ensure timely processing of audited accounts.
Dispatching audited accounts to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
A Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Cooperative Audit, Accounting, Finance, Commerce (Accounting/Finance Option), Business Administration (Accounting/Finance Option), or any relevant and equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya.
