The Clinical Officer-ENT at Oasis Healthcare Group is responsible for providing specialized clinical care in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of ear, nose, and throat conditions. The role holder performs clinical duties, procedures, and interventions that are non-invasive or minimally invasive, and refers or escalates cases beyond their scope appropriately. The position involves both clinical practice and clinical leadership responsibilities to ensure high-quality patient outcomes and efficient department operations.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties: Diagnose and manage common ENT conditions such as infections, allergies, and inflammations. Prescribe medications according to protocols and initiate referrals for complex cases.
Procedures & Equipment: Assist in or perform minor surgical procedures within scope. Operate and maintain ENT diagnostic equipment including otoscopes and audiometry tools, ensuring proper sterilization and infection prevention.
Patient Care & Education: Educate patients on disease prevention, treatment adherence, hearing care, and lifestyle modifications.
Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Foster a collaborative work environment and conduct performance evaluations.
Operations & Policy: Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
Financial Management: Develop and manage the facility’s budget, monitor financial performance, and optimize resource utilization.
Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance programs to monitor patient outcomes and satisfaction, including supporting SafeCare standards and participating in clinical audits.
Strategic Growth: Collaborate with leadership on strategic plans, identify service expansion opportunities, and represent the hospital in community events and professional forums.
Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Clinical Medicine & Surgery.
Higher Diploma in Clinical Medicine & Surgery-ENT.
Registration with the Clinical Officers Council and a valid practicing license.
A minimum of 3 working years with at least one year specifically as an ENT specialist.
Strong clinical and diagnostic skills in ENT care.
