The Clinical Officer at Shalom Community Hospital will work together with all other clinical functions to ensure safe and effective clinical practice while enhancing the patient experience of quality care. The role involves managing and developing team performance and contributing to the hospital's delivery of objectives, aligning with the mission of providing quality healthcare with efficiency, sustainability, reliability, and courtesy.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Patient Assessment: Comprehensive history taking and physical examination of patients.
Diagnostics: Ordering investigations and accurately interpreting results.
Patient Care: Diagnosing and managing patients, including performing relevant medical procedures.
Referrals: Ensuring appropriate referral and follow-up of patients where necessary.
Education & Support: Providing health education and support to both patients and staff members.
Team Performance: Managing and developing the performance of the clinical team to meet hospital standards.
Requirements
Education: Minimum of a Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or an equivalent qualification.
Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting.
Professionalism: Ability to ensure safe and effective clinical practice and improve patient quality of care.
