Maseno University is seeking to recruit fifty-five (55) Cleaners on a short-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to provide essential support services to a major public institution in Kenya.
Role Overview
The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of university facilities. These positions are critical for ensuring a conducive environment for learning, teaching, and administrative work.
Terms of Service
Nature of Contract: Fixed Term Contract.
Duration: Maximum period of Six (6) months.
Renewability: The contract is non-renewable.
Duties and Responsibilities
While specific duties are assigned at the departmental level, common expectations for the role include:
General cleaning of offices, lecture halls, laboratories, and common areas.
Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing floors.
Dusting furniture and surfaces.
Collection and safe disposal of waste.
Cleaning and disinfecting washrooms.
Reporting any maintenance issues to the supervisor.
