Job Description
Equity Afia is a network of medical entrepreneurs comprising qualified and experienced doctors dedicated to offering high-quality, affordable, and accessible healthcare to Kenyans. Equity Afia is seeking a qualified Claims Officer to join their team in Nairobi. The position involves managing claims processing, collaborating with medical teams, interacting with patient records and insurance payers, and maintaining financial precision within the medical centre.
Qualifications and Experience
Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or other business-related fields from a recognized institution.
Accounting qualification, i.e., CPA Part II or ACCA 2.
At least one (1) year of experience in claims management within the healthcare space.
Experience working with insurance payers.
Proficient computer skills for data entry, analysis, and report generation.
Good interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with the medical team and patient interaction.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize workload.
