Chinese Translator

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Supervision: Monitor and check the work status of local team leaders on a daily basis.
• Real-time Interpretation: Provide accurate, real-time interpretation during management meetings, site discussions, and technical briefings.
• Communication Liaison: Serve as the primary channel for communication between Chinese managers and local staff to resolve misunderstandings and streamline workflows.
• Documentation Support: Assist in preparing and translating reports, project documentation, and other administrative materials.
• Confidentiality: Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding all sensitive company and project-related information.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BSc), Higher National Diploma (HND), or a relevant Professional Certificate.
• Certification: Minimum HSK Level 4 certification is mandatory.
• Experience: At least 1 year of professional experience as a Chinese translator. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in engineering, construction, or industrial manufacturing environments.
• Language Proficiency: Exceptional command of both Mandarin Chinese and English (both written and spoken).
• Technical Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Personal Attributes: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team.

Preferred Attributes

• Direct experience working on large-scale construction or engineering sites.
• High level of accuracy in technical translation and interpretation.
• Strong coordination and organizational skills.
