Role Overview
Holy Cross Catholic International School is a traditional Catholic school faithful to the teachings and traditions of the Roman Catholic Church. The School Chef is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the school kitchen. This includes menu planning, food preparation, and ensuring that all students and staff receive nutritious, balanced meals in a safe and clean environment. The Chef will play a key role in fostering a healthy eating culture within our school community.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations including menu planning and food preparation.
Ensure the delivery of nutritious and balanced meals to all students and staff.
Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and personal grooming.
Manage strict schedules to ensure meals are served precisely on time.
Foster a healthy eating culture within the school community.
Ensure the kitchen operates in a safe and clean manner.
Requirements and Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in high-volume catering (schools, hospitals, or hotels preferred).
Education: BA/BSc/HND degree or relevant diploma.
Nutrition Knowledge: Solid understanding of child/adolescent nutritional needs and portion control.
Punctuality: Ability to manage a strict schedule for meal service.
Religious Affiliation: Must be a practising Catholic with a strong understanding of Catholic traditions.
Hygiene: A strong commitment to kitchen hygiene.
