Amentum is a global leader in designing, engineering, and modernizing critical systems. We are seeking a Cement Mason to join our team in Nairobi. The role is responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring safety is the highest priority. Key duties include repairing, maintaining, and altering buildings, with a focus on masonry, concrete finishing, and structural repairs. ### Responsibilities - Maintain a safe workplace and prioritize safety in all activities. - Comply with all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Quality Assurance (QA) requirements. - Repair, maintain, and alter building structures. - Mix mortar, lay bricks, and construct concrete sidewalks. - Construct and repair steps, install tile floors, and perform carpentry work. - Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete using floats, trowels, and screeds. - Level concrete to specified depth and workable consistency. - Break up and repair old concrete surfaces using pneumatic tools. - Produce colored or textured finishes by adding stone chips or coloring powder. - Prepare and submit detailed reports on concrete projects for management. ### Requirements - At least three (3) years of comparable experience as a mason or trade school training in concrete repair and construction. - BA/BSc/HND qualification (as specified in metadata). - Knowledge of principles and processes for supporting contract responsibilities at overseas facilities. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks. - Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective. ### How to Apply Interested and qualified candidates should apply via the Amentum careers portal at https://www.myjobmag.co.ke/apply-now/1196470 or visit www.amentumcareers.com to complete the application.
