The Business Performance Analyst provides analytical support to the finance department and business portfolios to ensure financial and profit objectives are met. This involves performance reporting, budgeting, product lifecycle analysis, and data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Budgeting & P&L Development: Support individual business segments in developing profit & loss accounts and the annual budgeting process, including consolidation of branches, sectors, and channels.
Performance Reporting: Prepare and report monthly business performance and financial forecasts.
Strategic Insights: Provide effective insights and analysis to assist the assigned Business portfolio in meeting established financial and profit objectives.
Analytical Support: Deliver data analysis to finance business partners and extract/define relevant sales, financial, costing, and operational information.
Product Analysis: Evaluate product life cycles, identifying growth opportunities for new products and remediation strategies for declining products.
Root Cause Analysis: Interpret data to determine the root causes of past financial and operational performance trends.
KPI & Dashboard Management: Maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and dashboards while managing a central database for reporting.
Reporting: Generate standard and complex reports summarizing business, financial, or economic data for stakeholders and management.
Business Intelligence: Collate trend data to support business cases and post-implementation reviews for assigned projects while maintaining data confidentiality.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Finance/Accounting), Economics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or Engineering.
Professional Certifications: CPA Part 2 or ACCA. Qualifications in financial analysis are an added advantage.
Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience in financial and/or business performance analysis and reporting.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL scripting and data analysis tools like EDWH, SAP BI, and Power BI.
