The Business Development Officer - MSCA & SME is responsible for overseeing MSCA (Micro and Small Credit Activity) across the SACCO. This includes monitoring business growth, savings mobilization, lending, conducting recoveries, and managing loan defaults and the overall portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision
Oversee the performance and productivity of MSCA Field Officers and Agents.
Set and review annual performance targets for supervised staff.
Receive, verify, and review daily performance reports.
Business Development
Market MSCA and SME products to targeted members.
Mobilize deposits from MSCA members.
Promote loan portfolio growth through thorough appraisal and timely disbursement of loans.
Research and develop new financial products tailored for new market segments.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Administration, Finance, Accounting, BCom, or a related business course from a recognized institution.
Professional qualifications or membership in relevant professional bodies.
Credit management certification (e.g., Certified Credit Professional - CCP) is highly desirable and serves as an added advantage.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional work experience.
A valid motorcycle riding license is an added advantage.
