Role Overview
The Business Analyst at KCB Bank Kenya plays a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. The position involves gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements for projects, systems, or processes, ensuring that solution delivery aligns with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for projects, systems, or processes.
Assist in the prioritization of business requirements and define project scope and objectives.
Serve as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating business needs into technical requirements and vice versa.
Facilitate communication between stakeholders and IT teams to ensure clear understanding of requirements.
Collaborate with project delivery teams to ensure that the final product meets the documented requirements and specifications.
Provide support to end users during implementation and post-implementation phases.
Monitor changes in baseline requirements through effective application of change control processes and tools.
Work with senior business analysts to manage requirements traceability information and track requirements status throughout the project.
Contribute to the development of test plans and test scripts, as well as perform test execution to ensure the solution aligns with business needs.
Assist in training end users, creating training materials and user guides, and overseeing user acceptance and competency processes.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field of study.
Professional qualification/certification in ITIL Foundation, Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), or TOGAF is an added advantage.
Certification in project management (PRINCE II Practitioner / AgilePM / PMI-ACP / Certified Agile Project Manager IAPM / Certified Scrum Master CSM) is an added advantage.
2 years’ progressive work experience in Information Technology.
1 year’s experience in Business analysis and architecture.
1 year’s experience in IT Projects.
1 year’s experience in Emerging Technologies (e.g. Mobile, Internet Banking, Cloud, Microservices) is desired.
1 year’s experience working in a fast-paced agile environment is desired.
