The Branch Manager is the commercial and operational leader of the solar distribution shop. This role demands a seasoned sales professional with deep technical knowledge of solar products who can build customer relationships, lead a small team, achieve revenue targets, and represent the SPL Global Distribution brand in the market.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Target Achievement: Drive branch sales targets for solar panels, inverters, batteries, HVAC products, and related electrical components.
Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, solar technicians, developers, C&I clients, and individual customers.
Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and appraise the branch team including sales staff, cashier, and technical/store staff.
Shop Operations: Oversee day-to-day shop operations: opening/closing, stock control, cash management, and customer service standards.
Quotation Management: Generate and follow up on sales quotations, proposals, and purchase orders.
Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with SPL Global Distribution's logistics team to ensure accurate and timely stock replenishment.
Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the product portfolio including Safer Industries products, Hanchu, Jinko Solar, Deye, Siemens, Schneider Electric, and Huawei.
Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports and submit to the CGO.
Market Analysis: Monitor competitor activity and market trends; provide insights to the leadership team.
Visual Merchandising: Ensure the shop is presentable and that products are displayed and demonstrated professionally.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 4 years of sales experience, with at least 2 years specifically in solar energy products or electrical distribution especially in the coastal region.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong knowledge of solar PV systems: panels, inverters, batteries (lithium/AGM), charge controllers, and BOS components.
Experience in team leadership and staff management.
Familiarity with brands such as Huawei, Jinko Solar, Deye, Schneider Electric, or Siemens is a strong advantage.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer relationship skills.
Proficient in MS Office; experience with basic ERP or POS systems is an added advantage.
Well versed with the Coastal area added advantage.
Valid driving license is an advantage.
