The Branch Manager at the Nyeri Branch is responsible for overseeing all aspects of branch operations. This include customer service, human resource management, sales, workshop management, and spare parts activities. The role is pivotal in assessing local market conditions, identifying sales opportunities for new vehicles, services, and parts, and working with specialized teams to convert these opportunities into business success.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight: Direct all aspects of the branch including customer service, HR, sales, workshop, and parts departments.
Market Analysis: Assess local market conditions to identify current and prospective sales opportunities for new vehicles, service, and parts.
Financial Management: Oversee branch financial management including WIP (Work in Progress), debt collection, and supplier payments. Certify accounting documents such as LPOs, petty cash, and daily banking.
Strategic Planning: Work with Product and Brand Managers to prepare annual New Vehicle Sales budgets.
Business Development: Identify potential parts sub-dealers in the region where the company does not have a direct presence.
Policy Enforcement: Implement all functional policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) at the branch level as guided by Heads of Departments.
Reporting: Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports regarding operations, sales activity, pipeline conversion, parts sales, and workshop WIP status.
Team Leadership: Manage branch staffing, conduct performance appraisals, address employee concerns, and ensure training of new hires in liaison with the head office.
Facility & Safety Management: Manage branch facilities, security protocols, and maintain health and safety standards according to company and statutory regulations.
Quality Compliance: Maintain and continuously update the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
Requirements and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a business field or any other related discipline.
Professional Certification: Relevant professional qualifications.
Experience: At least 10 years of progressive experience in a functional area, with a minimum of 5 years in a management position.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in auto-industry sales is highly desirable.
