Windle International Kenya is seeking a Biology/Chemistry Teacher to provide high-quality education and training. The role involves planning and delivering lessons in accordance with the curriculum to support student understanding and engagement, particularly within contexts affected by conflict.
Responsibilities
Instruction and Lesson Delivery: Plan and teach lessons in line with the curriculum, using appropriate teaching methods to support student understanding and engagement.
Assessment and Evaluation: Prepare tests, assignments, and exams; mark and provide feedback; monitor and record students' academic progress.
Classroom Management: Maintain discipline, create a safe and inclusive learning environment, and manage student behavior effectively.
Student Support and Guidance: Mentor and guide students on academic and personal development, identify learning difficulties, and refer cases where necessary.
Professional and Administrative Duties: Attend staff meetings, prepare schemes of work and lesson plans, keep records, communicate with parents/guardians, and participate in school activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Education.
At least two years of post-graduation teaching experience.
Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
Mastery of office software (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Ability and willingness to live, work, and travel in a fast-paced and potentially insecure environment, adhering to strict security guidelines.
