Tatu City is seeking a visionary and highly experienced BIM Coordinator to serve as the central authority and strategic leader for all digital delivery and Building Information Modeling (BIM) initiatives across the company's extensive portfolio. This senior leadership position is pivotal in driving project efficiency, mitigating risk, ensuring unparalleled design quality, and unlocking long-term asset value through the establishment and governance of a world-class BIM framework. The ideal candidate is a seasoned architect with deep expertise in digital construction, who will act as the primary driver of digital transformation within the engineering and construction lifecycle. This role is responsible for strategically integrating people, processes, and technology to create and maintain a single source of truth for all project data, from initial concept through to operations.
Responsibilities
BIM Strategy & Governance
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the corporate-wide BIM strategy, standards, and protocols, ensuring full alignment with international best practices (ISO 19650).
- Author, maintain, and govern the master BIM Execution Plan (BEP) template and oversee its application across residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
- Establish and enforce governance for the Common Data Environment (CDE), ensuring data integrity, security, and standardized exchange protocols.
- Act as the technical authority on data classification systems (Uniclass 2015, CSI MasterFormat/UniFormat).
Project Delivery & Coordination Oversight
- Direct multi-disciplinary model federation across Architectural, Civil, Structural, MEP, and Infrastructure disciplines.
- Oversee clash detection and resolution, chairing resolution meetings and driving stakeholder accountability.
- Manage and audit information flow at key milestones, enforcing compliance with specified Levels of Development (LOD).
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, mentor, and build the capability of the internal team of BIM engineers and coordinators.
- Serve as the single point of contact and trusted advisor for all BIM-related matters to senior management and external contractors.
- Champion the value proposition of BIM across the entire organization through targeted training and strategic guidance.
Technology & Process Innovation
- Scan the market for emerging AEC technologies and software platforms, developing business cases for adoption.
- Direct the corporate strategy for Revit family libraries and central BIM content management.
- Drive initiatives related to 4D (scheduling), 5D (cost), and 6D (facility management) to transform the BIM model into a lifecycle asset.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in architecture is required; a Master's degree is an advantage.
- A mandatory minimum of fifteen (15) years of post-qualification experience in the architectural design and construction industry.
- A mandatory minimum of seven (7) years of dedicated experience in a BIM leadership or management role.
- Demonstrable experience overseeing the digital delivery of large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects (e.g., masterplans, high-rises).
- Proven track record of managing, mentoring, and developing a team of BIM specialists.
- Expert-level understanding of international BIM standards (ISO 19650).
