Job Description
The Assistant Vocational Trainer III is an entry-grade position for trainers specializing in Plumbing Technology. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Head of Institution to deliver quality technical training and ensure the smooth operation of vocational training activities. This role involves both classroom instruction and practical workshop management.
Duties and Responsibilities
Instruct trainees in plumbing technology specialization in accordance with the prescribed syllabus.
Prepare and maintain essential professional documents, including schemes of work, lesson plans, lesson notes, and trainee records.
Develop and maintain teaching and learning materials for effective instructional delivery.
Conduct trainee assessments both in class and during industrial attachments.
Ensure proper care, maintenance, and inventory of plumbing tools and equipment.
Organize and conduct co-curricular activities for trainees.
Maintain trainee discipline through consistent guiding and counseling sessions.
Requirements for Appointment
Must possess a Craft Certificate or Master craft III certificate in Plumbing Technology or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Must be registered by the Technical Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA).
Evidence of training in pedagogical skills from an accredited institution.
Candidates should be prepared to provide certified copies of all academic and professional documents.
