Job Description
This is the entry grade for Assistant Vocational Trainers at the County Government of Bungoma. The trainer at this level will work under the guidance of the head of the institution to provide technical instruction and mentorship to trainees.
Responsibilities
Instruct in areas of specialization in accordance with the hair dressing and beauty therapy syllabus.
Prepare and maintain schemes of work, lesson plans, lesson notes, and trainee records.
Develop and manage teaching and learning materials.
Carry out trainee assessments both in class and during industrial attachments.
Ensure proper care and maintenance of specialized tools and equipment.
Conduct co-curricular activities for trainees.
Maintain trainee discipline through guiding and counseling.
Requirements for Appointment
Must have a Craft Certificate or Master craft III certificate in Hair Dressing and Beauty Therapy from a recognized institution.
Must be registered by the Technical Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA).
Possession of training in pedagogical skills from an accredited institution.
