Job Description
The Assistant Vocational Trainer III is an entry-grade position for individuals holding a Craft Certificate. Working under the guidance of the Head of Institution, the trainer will be responsible for providing technical instruction in Electrical Engineering, managing classroom activities, and ensuring the holistic development of trainees through curriculum delivery and mentorship.
Responsibilities
Instruct trainees in the area of specialization (Electrical Engineering) in accordance with the prescribed syllabus.
Prepare and maintain essential instructional records, including schemes of work, lesson plans, lesson notes, and trainee records.
Develop and utilize relevant teaching and learning materials to enhance the training experience.
Conduct trainee assessments both within the classroom and during field attachments.
Ensure the proper care, maintenance, and safety of workshop tools and equipment.
Organize and lead co-curricular activities for trainees.
Maintain trainee discipline through consistent guiding and counseling services.
Requirements
Must possess a Craft Certificate or Master craft III certificate in Electrical and Electronics or an equivalent technical discipline from a recognized institution.
Must be registered by the Technical Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA).
Evidence of training in pedagogical skills from an accredited institution is required.
