Job Description
The County Government of Bungoma is seeking to recruit qualified individuals for the position of Assistant Vocational Trainer III specializing in Building Construction. This is an entry-grade role where the trainer will work under the guidance of the head of the institution to provide technical instruction and manage the learning environment for trainees.
Responsibilities
Instruct in areas of specialization (Building Construction) in accordance with the approved syllabus.
Prepare and maintain schemes of work, lesson plans, lesson notes, trainee records, and teaching/learning materials.
Carry out trainee assessments both in class and during industrial attachments.
Ensure the proper care, maintenance, and safety of tools and equipment within the workshop.
Organize and conduct co-curricular activities for trainees.
Maintain trainee discipline through effective guiding and counseling.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
A Craft Certificate or Master Craft III certificate in Building Construction, Masonry, or an equivalent technical discipline from a recognized institution.
Registration by the Technical Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA).
Training in pedagogical skills from an accredited institution.
