Assistant Public Health Officer III

Responsibilities

While specific duties are tailored to the grade, general responsibilities for this role include:

• Implementing environmental health science protocols and procedures.
• Conducting public health inspections of various premises to ensure compliance with sanitary regulations.
• Assisting in the enforcement of public health laws and community health initiatives.
• Maintaining accurate records and data using computer applications.
• Preparing periodic reports on public health activities and findings.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

• Kenyan Citizenship.
• A Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Environmental Health Science, Public Health Inspection, or any other equivalent and relevant qualifications from a recognized institution.
• A Certificate in computer applications.

Additional Information

• Candidates with foreign degrees must have them authenticated by the Commission for University Education (CUE).
• Chapter 6 requirements (Ethics and Anti-Corruption) will be required only from successful applicants.
