Job Description
The Pharmacy and Poisons Board is seeking to recruit Assistant Office Administrators for their Regional Offices. The role involves providing essential secretarial and administrative support to ensure the efficient running of regional operations. The incumbents will handle communication, record management, and office coordination to support the board's regulatory functions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities will entail assisting in:
Recording information in shorthand and transcribing in typewritten form.
Processing data and managing e-office systems.
Operating office equipment.
Ensuring security of office equipment, documents, and records.
Attending to visitors/clients.
Handling telephone calls and appointments.
Managing office petty cash.
Ensuring good office layout.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
Diploma in Secretarial Studies from the Kenya National Examinations Council; OR
Business Education Single and Group Certificates (BES & GC) from the Kenya National Examinations Council in the following subjects:
Typewriting II (minimum 40 w.p.m) / Computerized Document Processing II
Business English I/Communications I
Office Practice I
Commerce I
Proficiency in computer applications.
