Job Description
The County Government of Kisumu is looking to recruit three (3) Assistant Community Health Officers III. This position is part of the county's mission to transform the livelihoods of its people through accountable, efficient, and quality service delivery in the healthcare sector. The successful candidates will be responsible for implementing community health strategies and providing essential health education and support services at the local level to improve the wellbeing of residents in Kisumu County.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Implement community health strategies and programs to improve public health outcomes.
Conduct health promotion and education sessions within the community.
Coordinate community health units and support community health volunteers.
Provide basic counseling and psychological support services.
Monitor and report on nutritional and environmental health standards at the household level.
Collect, maintain, and analyze community health data for informed decision-making.
Facilitate referrals for community members to appropriate health facilities.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
Kenyan Citizenship.
A Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Community Health Nursing, Community Oral Health, Psychology, Nutrition, Environmental Health, Counselling, Social Work and Community Development, Health Promotion and Education from a recognized institution.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Additional Information
Those with foreign Degrees should have them authenticated by the Commission for University Education (CUE).
During the interview, candidates will be required to submit academic certificates authenticated by the issuing institutions.
Chapter 6 requirements will only be required from successful applicants.
