The Assistant Commission Secretary for Programme Accreditation is a senior role within the Commission for University Education (CUE). The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the evaluation and approval process of academic programmes to ensure the quality and standards of university education in Kenya.
Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinating the evaluation of programmes and recommending them for approval.
Coordinating the preparation of programme evaluation reports.
Providing secretariat services to accreditation committees.
Preparing quarterly/annual work plans and procurement plans.
Preparing budgets for the department.
Preparing quarterly and annual performance reports.
Compiling and preparing peer-evaluated programmes for discussion and adoption by the Accreditation Committees.
Person Specification
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
A minimum period of eight (8) years relevant work experience, three (3) years of which must have been in a supervisory role.
Bachelor's Degree in any of the following disciplines: Education, Business Administration, Law, Social Sciences, or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
Master's Degree in Education, Business Administration, Law, Social Sciences, or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
Membership to relevant professional bodies and in good standing.
Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.

Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
