The Makueni County Public Service Board is seeking to recruit qualified and competent individuals to fill the position of Asset Management Officer. The successful candidates will be responsible for the systematic management and oversight of the county's assets to ensure efficiency, accountability, and compliance with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
While specific duties are assigned upon appointment, typical responsibilities for an Asset Management Officer include:
Maintaining and updating the County Asset Register to ensure all assets are accounted for.
Ensuring proper identification and tagging of all county assets for tracking purposes.
Monitoring the movement and utilization of assets across various departments.
Assisting in the valuation and depreciation of assets for accurate financial reporting.
Coordinating with procurement and finance departments regarding the acquisition and disposal of assets.
Conducting regular physical audits and reconciliations of assets.
Implementing measures to safeguard county property against loss or damage.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
A Bachelor's Degree in any of the following fields: Economics, Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Finance/Accounting, Commerce, Project Planning and Management, Business Administration/Management, Statistics, Social Sciences, or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
A Certificate in Computer Applications Skills.
Important Notes
Shortlisted candidates will be required to obtain and produce clearance certificates from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Credit Reference Bureau (CRB), Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
