Job Description
This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. The officer will work under the supervision and guidance of a designated supervisor to perform a variety of technical tasks related to the electrical systems of motor vehicles and plant machinery. The role focuses on basic diagnostics, maintenance, and ensuring safety compliance within a workshop environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Taking part in diagnosing and correcting simple faults and determining necessary repairs on plant and equipment.
Carrying out service and minor repairs of plant and equipment for compliance with safety standards.
Taking part in identifying faults in plant and equipment.
Taking part in identifying required spare parts, tools, and equipment.
Observing safety protocols in the provision of mechanical works in plant and equipment.
Maintaining cleanliness in the working area and ensuring proper disposal of workshop waste.
Requirements for Appointment
Government Trade Test Certificate Grade III in Auto Electrician from a recognized institution.
Proficiency in computer applications.
