Job Description
Nokia is seeking an Account Manager for Core and Access Networks (AM Core & AN) to lead and drive sales activities across the Mobile Networks (MI) and Network Infrastructure (NI) portfolio in East Africa. The role involves managing and growing relationships with Communication Service Providers (CSP) and Enterprise (ENT) customers, driving revenue growth, and aligning Nokia's digital infrastructure solutions with customer business challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow relationships with existing CSP and ENT customers, driving sales while meeting sales targets.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities using market knowledge and networking to expand customer engagement.
Collaborate with sales and pre-sales experts to execute large-scale sales initiatives.
Engage with key decision-makers at customer organizations to provide insights and foster strong connections.
Work independently within defined guidelines while applying industry best practices for optimal results.
Use analytical skills to identify problems and implement process improvements within the scope of responsibility.
Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced team members.
Lead sales activities across the CNS (Cloud and Network Services) and NI portfolio in East Africa.
Develop a deep understanding of customer strategies, market dynamics, and digital infrastructure priorities.
Define and execute account strategies to achieve revenue growth and market expansion.
Own and manage the sales pipeline, ensuring accuracy in CRM tools like Salesforce.
Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from opportunity identification through negotiation and contract closure.
Coordinate pre-sales, solutioning, and partner ecosystems to deliver value-based solutions.
Work closely with delivery and operations teams to ensure alignment on execution and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in account management and solution sales within the telecom and/or IT industry.
Strong knowledge of Mobile Networks, Digital Infrastructure, and automation.
Good understanding of mobile and fixed network environments, particularly within emerging markets.
Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Experience managing partners and ecosystems in large-scale transformation programs (preferred).
Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office suite.
Excellent communication skills in English; additional regional language skills are an advantage.
High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
