Amentum is seeking a dedicated AGE Technician to be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) to ensure operational readiness and compliance with all applicable standards. The successful candidate will perform complex diagnostics and repairs across multiple subsystems, ensuring that equipment is fully operational and safe to support mission requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Inspections and Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and servicing tasks on AGE and similar equipment as specified by contracts.
Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot malfunctions within complex AGE systems, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
Repairs and Overhauls: Execute repairs and overhauls on equipment to maintain full operational capability; perform modifications and upgrades to improve performance.
Serviceability Evaluation: Determine the serviceability of equipment and make critical decisions regarding repairs or replacements based on established technical guidelines.
Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all work performed, including inspection reports, maintenance logs, and repair records to ensure regulatory compliance.
Technical Analysis: Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams to guide maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
Inventory Management: Maintain appropriate stock levels of tools, consumables, and replacement parts required for AGE operations.
Safety and Compliance: Follow rigorous safety practices and adhere to environmental regulations during all maintenance tasks.
Team Communication: Communicate effectively with supervisors and team leads regarding equipment status, timelines, and technical challenges.
Requirements and Qualifications
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in inspecting, maintaining, servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying AGE or similar equipment.
High school diploma or equivalent (KCSE).
Technical familiarity with AGE subsystems, specifically mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components.
Strong ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and industry standards.
Proven problem-solving skills to resolve technical malfunctions effectively.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team to meet deadlines.
