The Advisor, UN and Global Donor Engagement at the International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a critical role focused on driving strategic partnerships and business development with major UN agencies and global donors. Reporting to the Director of Global Donor Engagement, the Advisor supports multi-year business development strategic plans for key UN Agencies including UNHCR, UNICEF, UN-OCHA, UNFPA, and UN Women. The role involves carrying out research, managing donor intelligence, facilitating high-level meetings, and representing the IRC in external forums to ensure the organization is well-positioned for funding and influence.\n\n### Major Responsibilities\n\n#### UN Donor Engagement Strategy\n* Support the development of multi-year business development strategic plans for priority UN Agencies.\n* Conduct data generation and analysis for priority donors and update information on donor strategies and peer activities.\n* Review due diligence and support assessment processes for new UN donors in collaboration with technical and regional staff.\n\n#### External Representation\n* Prepare and facilitate meetings between UN donors and IRC leadership, including the CEO, Regional Vice Presidents, and Technical Directors.\n* Develop analytical briefing documents for key stakeholder meetings.\n* Lead follow-up activities and share relevant donor information across the organization.\n* Coordinate IRC's participation at high-level global conferences.\n\n#### Information and Knowledge Management\n* Proactively identify and build relationships with key officials and stakeholders.\n* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of donor strategies, funding priorities, and political climates.\n* Use Salesforce to track UN donor engagement at country, regional, and global levels to ensure consistency in messaging and strategy.\n\n#### Flexible Support\n* Support engagement with new or emerging European donors through research, due diligence, and strategy development.\n\n### Job Requirements and Skills\n* BA/BSc/HND in a relevant field.\n* Previous experience in humanitarian or development business development, donor relations, policy, or advocacy.\n* Familiarity with UN agencies and humanitarian/development donor landscape.\n* Proven ability to work effectively in large, complex organizational settings.\n* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing briefing materials.\n* Strong attention to detail and ability to review and synthesize policies and reports.\n* Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM tools for stakeholder management.\n* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified candidates should apply via the International Rescue Committee's career portal.
