Verde Edge Consulting Ltd is an executive HR consulting company based in Nairobi, Kenya. We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to assist in maintaining accounting records, providing accurate financial information, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Responsibilities
Maintain accounting records and provide accurate, timely financial information.
Prepare Local Purchase Orders (LPOs), invoicing, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Maintain and reconcile supplier accounts.
Post transactions accurately into the accounting system.
Conduct regular bank reconciliations.
Manage client accounts and communications.
Prepare statutory returns and facilitate payment preparations.
Prepare management accounts and maintain the company asset register.
Handle petty cash management.
Assist auditors during audits and prepare necessary schedules.
Requirements
Education: CPA Part II is a mandatory requirement. A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is considered an added advantage.
Experience: At least 3 years of similar professional experience.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of IFRS and accounting systems.
Soft Skills: High attention to detail, ability to work collaboratively in a team, a positive attitude, and self-driven nature.
