Accountant

• Financial Record Keeping: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and statements.
• Accounts Management: Manage accounts payable and receivable efficiently.
• Cash Flow & Reconciliation: Handle bank reconciliations and monitor daily cash flow.
• Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
• Tax & Statutory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Kenyan tax regulations and timely filing of statutory deductions (VAT, PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, etc.).
• Budgeting: Support budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure financial stability.
• Cost Control: Monitor project costs and provide specialized cost control insights relevant to the construction industry.
• Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits and liaise with auditors as required.
• Documentation: Maintain proper and organized documentation of all financial transactions.
• Policy Compliance: Ensure all operations align with company financial policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in accounting. Experience within the construction industry is highly advantageous.
• Certification: CPA (K) qualification or significant progress towards completion is preferred.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Kenyan tax laws and financial regulations.
• Software: Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms.
• Personal Attributes: High level of integrity, maturity, and professionalism; strong analytical and organizational skills.
