We are looking for a detail-oriented and trustworthy Accountant to support our day-to-day financial operations. Techzone is a trusted online destination for premium smartphones, Android tablets, and tech accessories in Kenya, and the successful candidate will play a critical role in managing transaction records, performing reconciliations, and ensuring that all financial records are accurate to support business growth and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Record daily sales, expenses, and payments in the accounting system.
Reconcile M-Pesa, bank, and till transactions on a daily basis.
Prepare weekly and monthly financial summaries and reports for management.
Process supplier invoices and coordinate timely payments.
Maintain and update petty cash records accurately.
Track inventory/stock costs and flag any discrepancies.
Support monthly stock-takes and assist with end-of-month closing reports.
Assist with payroll preparation — collating attendance, leave records, and statutory deductions.
Support filing of VAT, PAYE, NSSF, NHIF/SHA, and other statutory returns.
Manage customer/client accounts and follow up on outstanding payments.
Maintain organised and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
CPA Section 2 qualification.
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar accounting or finance support role.
Proficiency in accounting systems.
Familiarity with KRA iTax, NSSF, and NHIF/SHA portals is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of integrity.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
A proactive team player who is eager to learn and grow.
