This is the entry and training grade for the Youth Polytechnic Instructors cadre. An instructor at this level will work under the guidance of a Senior Youth Polytechnic Instructor to provide high-quality vocational training to students.
Responsibilities
Provide theoretical and practical instruction in the area of specialization (Masonry).
Prepare and maintain schemes of work, lesson plans, lesson notes, trainee records, and teaching/learning materials.
Carry out regular trainee assessments and evaluations.
Ensure proper care and maintenance of workshop tools and equipment.
Conduct co-curricular activities and maintain trainee discipline.
Provide guidance and counseling to trainees.
Qualifications and Experience
Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Civil Engineering, Building and Construction, or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.
Terms of Service
Salary Scale: Kshs. 28,620 - 37,100 per month (Job Group ‘H’).
