Job Description
This role involves providing both theoretical and practical instruction in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to trainees at a Youth Polytechnic under the Nakuru County Government. The instructor is responsible for shaping the technical competencies of students, maintaining instructional records, and ensuring a conducive learning environment through discipline and guidance.
Responsibilities
Provide theoretical and practical instruction in the area of specialization (ICT).
Prepare and maintain schemes of work, lesson plans, lesson notes, trainee records, and teaching/learning materials.
Carry out regular trainee assessments and examinations.
Ensure the proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment.
Conduct co-curricular activities.
Maintain trainees’ discipline and provide guiding and counseling services.
Requirements
Certificate in instructors’ course from Kenya School of TVET (formerly KTTC).
Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.
Diploma in ICT, Computer Science, or Information Technology from a recognized institution.
