Job Description
The Nakuru County Government is seeking to recruit a Youth Polytechnic Instructor III specialized in Food and Beverage. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality technical and vocational instruction to trainees, ensuring they gain the necessary skills for the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
Provide theoretical and practical instruction in the area of specialization (Food and Beverage).
Prepare and maintain essential instructional documents, including schemes of work, lesson plans, lesson notes, and trainee records.
Develop and maintain relevant teaching and learning materials.
Carry out regular trainee assessments to monitor progress and maintain academic standards.
Ensure the proper care, maintenance, and security of department tools and equipment.
Lead and conduct co-curricular activities for trainees.
Maintain trainee discipline and provide necessary guidance and counseling services.
Requirements
Must possess a Diploma in Food and Beverage, Catering, Hospitality, or its equivalent.
Must have a Certificate in an instructors’ course from the Kenya School of TVET (formerly KTTC).
Must have a Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.
