About the Role
AGL (Africa Global Logistics), the reference multimodal logistics operator in Africa and part of the MSC family, is seeking a qualified Workshop Manager to be based in Nairobi, Kenya. The successful candidate will oversee the timely and quality repairs and maintenance of all equipment and vehicles, ensuring high operational standards and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repairs: Oversee timely and quality repairs and maintenance of all equipment and vehicles.
Preventive Maintenance: Oversee the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
Reporting & Records: Generate regular workshop reports and ensure proper documentation of workshop records.
Requisitions: Approve daily workshop requirements and requisitions for spares and materials.
Technical Sourcing: Evaluate and approve sourcing of external technical support to complement internal capacity.
Quality Control: Verify that all spare parts and materials purchased are of the right quality and quantity, and that the right parts are fitted.
Budgeting: Prepare the workshop budget.
Safety & Security: Ensure security and safety of the workshop and enforce adherence to health and safety standards, rules, government regulations, and company policies/procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Business Degree and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: At least 7 years of experience handling Prime movers (FAW and Renault), top loader operators, forklifts, saloon cars, reefer containers, and motorbikes.
