About the Role
As a Veterinary Officer at Peoplelink Consultants Ltd, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical and surgical care to small animals. The role requires a dedicated professional capable of conducting consultations, performing complex diagnostics, and executing surgical procedures while maintaining clear communication with pet owners.
Key Responsibilities
Consultations and Examinations: Conduct routine consultations, vaccinations, and comprehensive physical examinations for small animals.
Diagnostics: Interpret diagnostic tests, including bloodwork, X-rays, and ultrasounds, to develop effective treatment plans.
Surgery and Procedures: Perform soft tissue surgeries and dental procedures with a high level of proficiency.
Emergency Management: Manage acute cases and provide life-saving interventions as required during emergencies.
Client Communication: Explain diagnoses, treatment options, and preventative care clearly to pet owners.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed digital medical records for all patients.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) degree from a recognized institution.
Registration: Must be registered with the Kenya Veterinary Board (KVB).
Certification: Must possess a valid and current KVB practicing certificate.
Experience: At least two (2) years of hands-on experience in small animal medicine. Proven experience working in a private clinic or hospital set-up is highly preferred.
