As a UX Engineer at Rainforest Alliance, you will visualize business processes into customer journeys, transforming them into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for development by engineering teams. You will report to the Senior Manager, Product Architecture (Kenya) and provide mockups to clarify requirements and business expectations using standard UX design tools and frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Champion a customer-centric approach to design and development, advocating for user/customer engagement and empathy.
Ensure adoption of leading UX practices and processes.
Develop Graphical User Interface (GUI) for multiple applications-based customer journeys and business processes.
Develop customer journeys to inform UX strategies for different solutions.
Develop and validate different artefacts related to UX such as wireframes and screen flows.
Perform user research through qualitative enquiry, quantitative data analysis and user testing to capture user goals, needs and expectations.
Collaborate with team members on the identification of UX opportunities and gaps in existing solutions.
Collaborate with Architects, Product Owners and Developers to implement designed solutions.
Requirements and Experience
At least 3 years' experience in UX design in a busy software development organization/team.
Experience with UX for mobile (Android & Apple) applications and web platforms.
Background in visual, interaction, UX design and prototyping.
Relevant experience in User Flows, Journey Mapping and conducting collaborative workshops.
Experience with at least one UX design and prototyping tool (Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD).
Experience with user stories, personas, customer journey mapping or service blueprints.
Experience working with Agile Frameworks (e.g., Scrum or SAFE).
Fluency in English, both written and oral.
Experience using project management tools such as Jira or Microsoft Projects.
Minimum of a BA/BSc/HND qualification.
