Job Description
Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST) is seeking to recruit nine (9) TVET Trainers in the field of Water Resources Management. This role is based in Bondo Town and involves providing technical and vocational training to students to equip them with practical and theoretical knowledge in water resource and environmental management.
Responsibilities
Facilitate learning in Water Resources Management through both classroom instruction and practical training sessions.
Develop and update training materials and course curriculum in compliance with TVET standards.
Assess and evaluate student performance and progress through practical and written examinations.
Mentor students and provide career guidance within the technical field.
Maintain and manage training equipment and ensure a safe, conducive learning environment in workshops or labs.
Stay updated with industry trends to ensure training remains relevant to the current job market.
Requirements and Qualifications
Must possess a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Water Resource & Environmental Management or a related field.
Prior relevant training or teaching experience in a technical setting.
Possession of a TVETA (Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority) Training Certification.
Pedagogical skills are considered a significant added advantage.
Valid National Identity card or passport.
