Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST) is seeking qualified individuals for the position of TVET Trainer in Science Laboratory Technology. This role is focused on delivering technical and practical training to students within the TVET framework, ensuring they develop high-level competency in laboratory techniques and scientific principles.
Responsibilities
Deliver theoretical and practical training in Science Laboratory Technology subjects.
Facilitate laboratory sessions and demonstrations while ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
Prepare and update training materials and curriculum resources in line with industry standards.
Assess and evaluate students' performance and practical skills.
Provide career guidance and mentorship to students pursuing technical careers.
Manage laboratory equipment and ensure it is properly maintained.
Requirements and Qualifications
A Bachelor of Technology (Science Laboratory Technology) or a related field.
Relevant training experience in a technical or vocational environment.
TVETA Training Certification is mandatory.
Pedagogical skills are considered a significant added advantage.
Knowledge of laboratory safety and standard operating procedures.
