Job Description
Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST), located in Bondo, Siaya County, is looking to recruit nine (9) TVET Trainers specializing in Cyber Security. This role is designed to support the university's Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) initiatives by providing high-quality instruction and technical guidance to students in the field of cybersecurity and computer forensics.
Responsibilities and Duties
While specific daily tasks are governed by the TVET curriculum, the trainers will be expected to:
Deliver comprehensive lectures and practical training sessions in Cyber Security and Computer Forensics.
Develop and update training materials, course outlines, and assessment tools.
Evaluate student progress through examinations, practical tests, and project assessments.
Maintain laboratory equipment and software tools required for cybersecurity training.
Mentor students and provide guidance on technical certifications and industry standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Security & Forensics or a related technical field.
Relevant experience in technical training or cybersecurity practice.
Valid TVETA Training Certification is mandatory.
Possession of pedagogical skills will be considered a significant advantage.
